INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

Within the international trade union movement, the independent PPDIVUT Trade Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a member of world trade union association IUF – IUTA – IUL ( International Union for Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers'  Associations), as well as European Trade Union Organization EFFAT (European Federation of Trade Unions in Food, Agriculture and Tourism sectors and allied branches) and more recently a member of Euro Asian Federation of Trade Unions, takes part in the work of international meetings of trade union representatives thanks to multilateral and bilateral meetings with trade union delegations from other countries taking the responsibility and obligations in terms of  functioning of  Euro Asian Federation of Trade Unions for the Balkans region as well as through seminars and trade schools for the union staff.
Constant presence in the international trade union movement represents priceless experience to trade union staff of PPDIVUT and considerable help for this trade union comes from trade unions from other countries especially the PPDIV Trade Union of Croatia, with whom we cooperate intensively for twenty years.
Thanks to international trade union gatherings bodies and the staff of PPDIVUT of Bosnia and Herzegovina keep constant contacts with representatives of similar trade unions from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Monte Negro, Macedonija, Kosovo, Denmark, Holland, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary, France, Rumania and Italy and bilateral cooperation with majority of these in different fields give the results.
Within the framework of bilateral cooperation PPDIVUT Trade Union of B&H signed to the present moment five documents on cooperation, namely: Memorandum on Cooperation with the largest Trade Union organization from Holland FNV BONDGENTON, Agreement on cooperation with the agriculture, food, tobacco, water industries trade union from Croatia – PPDIV, Agreement on cooperation with the agricultural and meat industries (KŽI) from Slovenia and Agreement on cooperation with the agricultural, food and tobacco industries trade union from Montenegro, the agreement on cooperation with the National Federation of workers in agriculture, food industries and similar trade fields, Agro-fratia from Romania.
Apart from the above mentioned, considerable cooperation has been established with branch trade unions of SSUT from Croatia, SUT from Slovenia, SID from Denmark, Solidarnost from Poland, Independence from Serbia, FLAI-CGUL from Italy – Sicily, Trade Union NGG from Germany and it is expected that this cooperation will result in corresponding agreements.
The one of the international activities of PPDIVUT Trade Union B&H started by the beginning of September 2007 with the participation in founding conference of Euro Asian Federation of Trade Unions in Istanbul composed of similar branch trade unions from twelve states in Europe and Asia. Mr. Džemail Bakindi the leader of the Turkish branch trade union was appointed Chairman and Dr Mehmed Avdagić, chairman of PPDIVUT Trade Union of B&H, was appointed his Vice-President and Secretary of The Trade Union Association for Balkans with the head office in Sarajevo at the same address as Central PPDIVUT Trade Union of B&H.
We are open for international cooperation with all trade unions and other democratic non-governmental associations in Europe and world-wide and will be pleased with any initiative in this respect and are ready to engage similar trade unions interested in international trade union associations in which we enjoy full membership.
